Project 365 – Day 16

For all of you that have written and will continue to write that there are frogs and not “pigs” on the boots, I have not gone blind, or crazy, (well not any more than usual.)  The term “pig boots” is a term that my husband used when referring to “muck boots.”  If you don’t know what muck boots are, they are rubber boots used to muck out the stalls, when you are stepping in, well…muck.  We not only called them “muck boots,” but “pig boots” as well, which is used to refer to stepping in pig slop.  Doesn’t that just stir up your appetite?

Now go have a snack and forgive me for forgetting you are all not the hillbillies we are.

Project 365 – Day 15

It seems like there is not a day that goes by without every surface eventually covered with junk.  This is especially so for those of us that live in a very small space.  Did you ever get the desire to spontaneously get a shovel, a large can and visit your local landfill!?  Starting fresh seems very appealing right about now.

Project 365 – Day 14 

This came by UPS today to one very excited fourteen-year-old.  Yeah, I’m fairly sure I was buying lip gloss and cigarettes at this age.  Thank you Father that she’s not me.

Project 365 – Day 13

It was a day.  You know the kind.  I was actually so emotionally exhausted, I slept for 3 hours during the afternoon.  A luxury I don’t get too often.  But I was sure glad for the rest. 

Once I woke up, I realized how behind I was, so today’s photo is of my nemesis.  The boxes of books that are at my feet are screaming….”Put us away!”  I just turn my head and walk away to give my attention to another priority on my list.

Project 365 – Day 12

When the days become overwhelming and I need to breathe deep and smell the air, I grab my babies and my camera and find beauty on the road.

Something about a country road that eases every worry.

Project 365 – Day 11

Even as a newborn, her eyebrows have told a story; they always appear to carry such a heavy load.

I pray she learns quickly, His yoke is easy and His burden is light.  Hopefully long before her mama did.
