Project 365 – day 40

The other day I decided to try some Greek yogurt that was on sale at the grocery store.  It was a product called Chobani and as it turned out, it was possibly the worst thing I have ever tasted.  I immediately dismissed the idea of ever trying Greek yogurt again.

I mentioned my experience to Kimmie and she basically told me I was nuts if I didn’t like Greek yogurt and she opened up a container of The Greek Gods Greek Yogurt;  Angels suddenly began to sing.

It is quite possibly the best thing I have EVER tasted and I will never go back Dannon.

The consistency is velvety smooth; unlike any thing I have ever had and it is richer than cheesecake.  Nothing at all like American yogurt.

Now since trying Greek Gods, I have tried Fage and it is good, but not nearly as rich and flavorful as this.

The flavors available are Honey, (my favorite) Fig, Pomegranate, Vanilla, Plain and Non-Fat.

You can find it at certain health food and specialty stores and to make it easy, you can visit http://www.greekgodsyogurt.com and search for stores in your area that carry it.  If they don’t, then ask them to!  I promise you won’t be sorry.

  16. Kimmie says:

    Hallie;

    Bless your heart-it is wonderful. I will never promote non-fat or lowfat-life is way to short for holding back the windows of heaven over THIS life.

    Now if we could only convince the company that they should write it as Greek gods…as we want everyone to be sure that there is only ONE capital G God and that is the Lord God-any other god is a phoney-baloney and is not worthy of God’s name (it is His and His alone!)

    So yogurt company, if you are listening … let’s lower the G…to gods!

    I am going to eat some of my case of it~ right now!
