Foo Foo Slippers and Photography

June 4, 2008

Okay all you brave photographers.  I am introducing Through the Lens: Digital Photography 101.  A workshop for anyone that wants to improve their photography skills.

I have started a Yahoo Group that I will use to send out the starting date, reminders and or any news about the assignments. Please join only if you would like to be on the mailing list.  This is strictly for updates on this workshop and your email will NEVER be given out.   You do not have to join the group to participate.  I have made the group as a convenience for you, so you won’t miss an assignment because you forgot to visit.  Also, if an assignment has to be postponed, I will give you a heads up in an email.

You can join here: ThroughTheLens-DigitalPhotography101-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

I will let you know the date of the first assignment by next week.

This sounds great! Could I join in even though I don’t have a “fancy” camera or photoshop?

When I clicked on the link it just opened up an email. Not sure what is going wrong. Is there another way to join? Please email me the link at
ealguire (at) sbcglobal (dot) net if you get a chance!

Thanks - looking forward to it! : )

Anyone can join, but to get the most out of the workshop you should have at least a 3 mega pixel camera with optional manual settings, (allows you to change the aperture and shutter speed.)

If you do not have the ability to change the settings on your camera, you are absolutely still welcome to join, but may have a hard time following along with the assignments.

Once we get past learning about aperture, shutter speed and ISO, it may be a bit easier to keep up, so please join us!

Thanks so much, Hallie! I do have a camera with optional manual settings, which I have really been wanting to learn about! It’s a FinePix S5700 and it s7.1 megapixel.

Do we just e-mail that we are interested? Like Elaine, it just opens up an e-mail for me.

    Thanks!

OK I am signing up… I have no time, I have no clue what I am doing with my camera, but I just can’t resist!
Is this something I could publicise on my new design/digi scrapping blog? (www.lazycowdesigns.com/blog) I think I might know a few people who might be keen…
