Depression Glass & Blueberry Drool Produce in My Bed

Today was party day and it sure got off to a rough start.   I woke up feeling really run down and achy and almost left church to go sit in the foyer.  By the time I got home, the last thing on earth I wanted to do was put together a tea party, but after a power nap, I pulled myself together and everything went fine.

I do however finally concede that I can’t do it all.  I have to be the hostess or the photographer, but not both.

Here are a few photos from our party.  I was too tired to properly fix them, so I quickly ran them through Lightroom.  Honestly, I don’t know how I would have time to post process without it.

Look at me I’m three!

Not a single broken tea cup today.

I said tea party, my dad thought rodeo…..

and then I thought Hee Haw.

When we started to sing Bella became very shy and wouldn’t look up.   She was very sweet; of course I’m not biased in any way.

All together now….pinkies out!

Been out of town, so I’ve got to sign up for the Yahoo group-tomorrow.

  2. I wish my “just pulled together” parties looked half that Martha Stewart-esque!! Looks like a perfectly lovely afternoon.

  3. Oh, Hallie, it looks just splendid! I really like Sarah’s dress. And of course, Bella looks adorable as ever. Great photos! :D

I am totally busting a gut at your dad and the hee haw comment!!! That is hysterically funny!

Oh HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I can’t believe she’s only three… I thought surely she was older than my littlest man, who turned 3 this past November. Your whole family is SO precious, Hallie!

You make me ashamed! What an amazing tea party that you just managed to throw together. And your not even British! You put half of the Cream Tea’s in fancy hotels all over England to shame my dear. I worship you and your tea party and your photos. :-) Happy Birthday pretty Bella!

    Hallie;

What a wonderful tea party. Quite the spread too! You all look so spiffed up and shiny! Love the hats and the proper British hand position that was captured.
    Sweet, thanks for sharing.

    These pictures are amazing!
I have to know what camera/ photo imaging program – what on earth you did to make them so special? I love photography – but sadly have an average camera! I am definitely in the market for one – can you recommend?
