Red Wagon Paparazzi

July 7, 2008

Your probably thinking this wagon is photographed more than the Hollywood party girls.  What can I say….it was a big hit with wee Bella and I’m sure it won’t be the last time you’ll see it.

I don’t comment often but gotta say I ALWAYS love your pictures! And the one today is precious. Those dimpled knees and cute little boots. My word! Bella may just be the most photographed little girl in history. But how can you resist? You can’t! So thanks for sharing your photos, of Bella and everything else! I really liked the old fire hydrant too. Your caption cracked me up!!

Okay… so I have a question… how do you decide what will be the “perfect” black and white photo, verses keeping it in color?

I love all black and whites, and have a hard time keeping things in color.

    Thanks,
    Amy

    Amy,

I choose black and white usually on the basis of two things. First, does it have good natural contrast and second, is it a simple photo. Meaning, some photos are too busy. The backgrounds may have a lot going on and I prefer a more simple black and white. Unless of course it’s a gritty kind of photo, with a lot of texture. It just really all depends on the photo and subject matter.

I do try out several options before picking the one I like best.
