PETA Urges Ben & Jerry’s to Milk Women Not Cows

October 1, 2008

I’m sorry, I could hold my tongue no longer.   Really, I tried.   But after laughing and pondering the hilariousness of this all week, I had to put my two cents in.

So, can I see a show votes on how many of you think Ben & Jerry’s should take PETA up on their suggestion to replace cow’s milk in their ice cream for breast milk?  Yup, you heard me right.

The ever ridiculous organization is up to it again, with yet another wild idea in the name of animal rights.   It would seem as though these PETA members have a very desperate need for attention and maybe were WEANED from the breast much too quickly.

So, here’s my take on it. If you would like to sit home with your ice cream maker and order up some frozen breast milk to make your own decadent desserts, then go to it, but leave the rest of us out of your sick plans.

Watching a Friday night flick and slurping down a bowl of chocolate-peanut-butter-chunk-could-be-my-neighbors-body-fluids, quite frankly, makes me want to wretch and I’m sure I would be in the majority.

If they really want to help abused animals, maybe they should consider not making a mockery of their organization by suggesting the milking of women over cows and just then, some of us might take them seriously.

Should Ben & Jerry's use breast milk instead of cows milk?

I was so done with PETA when they started using women (inappropriately) in their campaigns. It did not make much sense to balk about the abuse of animals while encouraging the disrespect of women in the process.

    Ridiculous.

While I freeze my breastmilk and let Little Sister eat it while we’re chowing down on cow’s ice cream, I’ve never had the urge to eat it myself.

Did you hear about PETA referencing the US eating chickens to the Holocaust. Yeah, they are crazy.

I’m with you — Ewwww! Guess how I voted? :-)
Does PETA plan on making milk cows extinct or don’t they care that if you don’t milk a milk cow, the cow is in PAIN?
