Thank you for your prayers; they meant a lot. God brought us through this terrifying day and I’m finding that God really wants good for us and not evil. That seems so simple; like I should have it down by now - ingrained somewhere deep within, but I don’t yet. I am a bit cynical from living a very difficult life and seem to always be looking for the boogieman behind every corner.
I’m sure this all sounds like mumbo jumbo right now, but when I can share more, you will understand. For now I have peace and that is all I really ever needed. It’s not over yet and I don’t know if it will ever be, but I have my eyes set in the right place.

Whenever I am amazed by God, I have to stop and ask myself why I feel “amazed.” After all, He has never failed me and has always brought me through life’s trials… so why should I be so surprised when He encourages me or is there for me yet one more time?
I am glad you have peace, dear Hallie. Remember that even on those not-so-peaceful days!
Still praying for you.
Love,
Marsha

I’ve been thinking a lot about you lately. So glad that you feel…embraced.
I struggle with fear too. Especially lately. Don’t know what’s special about “lately”. Coming face to face with real people dealing with real and serious and life changing stuff…it just makes everything feel a bit precarious.
Hope all turns out well. Looking forward to another update whenever you’re ready.
Love,

I totally relate to the fear/angst (great word, isn’t it?). Glad your eyes are focused the right place. I’m reading in Isaiah now and God keeps telling the Israelites not to trust in Egypt AT ALL; but to look to Him. And I’m realizing there ain’t anyone or anything else that’s positively for me except Christ! Positively (love is an action word) for you as well!

This might be of help as well. God’s word tends to do that!
