I was browsing through some images from last summer and I came across one that I had saved to edit at a later date. Some serious adjustments were needed, so I put it off. I worked a little PS magic on it and this is what I ended up with….
I tell you, I love the liquify tool! B’s little cheeks were all misshapen from gravity, but liquify put her pretty face back together.
Gosh…now that I think of it, I would hate to see the freeze frame of my face on the trampoline.
Here is the before….

And if you’re wondering, here’s what I did….
- Liquify tool on the her cheeks to rectify the gravity pull
- Clone tool to even skin
- Selective color to remove color casts from grass
- Pool Party 50%
- Flare Up Faded 29%
- Not So Magic Glasses 100%
- Red filter 100%
- Clare-ify 15%
- Selective Hue/sat adjustment
- Oh Snap 51%
- Prettyizer 45%
- Sharpen
The actions I used are from Doug Boutwell at Get Totally Rad. These are my ‘go to’ actions and they are used on nearly every shot. Want to see more recipes? Check out Totally Rad Recipes!

Alright, now you’ve done it!! I HAVE to get PS now. I’ve wanted it for-ev-er, but I thought, “no big deal, it can wait”. Can’t afford it yet, but it’s going on my Amazon wish list today!
The shot is excellent, by the way. Thanks for letting me vent. tehe!

Thanks Carrie! I’m telling you, I have made bulges go away people never knew were even there!
Marie….once you have it, you will wonder how you have gone so long without it!
It’s a great shot, the processing really brought it to life. I love liquify. I use it to make the eyes pop a bit too (by oh so slightly enlarging them) and for instant nose and ear jobs as well

Oooo… Nice edit! I like it! You did a very good job. That picture would be adorable framed.

What a beautiful photo of a beautiful child! Give her a big hug & kiss from me.
I love the movement of her hair and the grass in the photo. Wow, the processing really brought an already great shot to life! Which PS do you have?
