How to transfer and view live photo on Android or Windows

Live Photos are a feature that is exclusive to Apple’s iOS devices, which means that they cannot be directly transferred or viewed on Android or Windows devices. However, there are a few workarounds you can use to transfer and view Live Photos on non-Apple devices:

Method 1: Using a third-party app

There are several third-party apps available on the Google Play Store and Windows Store that claim to be able to view Live Photos. Some popular apps include Lively, Piktures, and OneDrive. You can try downloading and installing these apps on your Android or Windows device to see if they can help you view Live Photos.

Method 2: Converting Live Photos to GIFs or videos

You can convert Live Photos to GIFs or videos, which can be viewed on most Android and Windows devices. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. On your iPhone, open the Photos app and select the Live Photo you want to convert.
  2. Swipe up on the photo to reveal the “Effects” options.
  3. Select either “Loop”, “Bounce”, or “Long Exposure” to create a GIF or video.
  4. Save the GIF or video to your Camera Roll.
  5. Transfer the GIF or video to your Android or Windows device using a USB cable or file-sharing app.
  6. Open the GIF or video on your Android or Windows device to view it.

Note: Converting a Live Photo to a GIF or video may result in a loss of quality or resolution.

Method 3: Using iCloud Photos

If you have iCloud Photos enabled on your iPhone and a Windows PC, you can access your Live Photos from your PC’s web browser. Here’s how:

  1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos and turn on “iCloud Photos”.
  2. On your Windows PC, open your web browser and go to icloud.com.
  3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
  4. Click on the “Photos” icon.
  5. Find the Live Photo you want to view and click on it to view it in full-screen mode.

Note: You won’t be able to download Live Photos from iCloud Photos to your Android device using this method.
